Derek + Jenny's winter wonderland wedding was just that amazing. Cold to say the least, but that didn't stop these two from having some beautiful warm moments. A very intimate day, surrounded by family and close friends they made it so special.
I have to add how adventurous these newlyweds were. They climbed snow hills, trudged through waist deep snow, just to climb more snow banks to get to their pretty locations. (May I add that they did this in -30 Manitoba weather) What a fun, loving couple and I am so honoured to have been apart of their day. Congratulations Derek + Jenny!
Where do I even begin with these two love honeys? They are a perfect match. Their love for the outdoors, trucks, sleds, their 4 legged animals and we can't forget their love for each other. We climbed/sledded through waist deep snow and survived a cold Manitoba wintery day for their fun engagement session. Now I can't wait to climb mountains on their wedding day this year. Eek so pumped!!
As much as I love my in studio newborn sessions, I have fallen quite fond of at home lifestyle sessions. It reaches on a personal level and shows what really matters. Love, comfort and family. Congratulations on your new bundle! What a beautiful family.

I have always been passionate about female and male intimate portraiture. It is one of my favourite sessions to photograph. The human form, the depths in shadows and light, and the emotion that comes along with it. I want to create meaningful art while embracing your body and looking past your insecurities.
That being said I want to push you and show you what a kick ass individual that you are. I want to throw away your self doubts and lift you up. I want you to LOVE yourself!
Inspired by their gorgeous, natural surroundings in Melita Mb, Brett + Alexis set out to design a wedding that fully represented the two of them to a T. Just being outside, spending time with family + friends, is one of their most cherished pastimes. So, it was pretty easy to understand why they couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate their marriage than with a fall wedding in their hometown. Their ceremony was beautifully crafted in the backyard of the groom's parents yard, surrounded by autumn fields and loving guests. What blew me away was the enchanting location of a birds sanctuary just outside their town. The portraits were a wedding couples dream!!
Heavy metal meets pretty in pink is how I would describe this edgy, artistic and can't forget glamorous wedding. The fine details of the entire day is one that you won't forget. Paul + Brandy thought every detail out to represent all the goods they loved. The skulls in the bouquet, the guitar picks as wedding favours, the elaborate decor and the endless amounts of colour throughout the day. This was one smokin' wedding celebration!
A vintage, rustic and music inspired wedding, was the outstanding collaboration these two had in mind. Dylan + Khloe's passion for all these personal effects influenced their day, from the detailed reception decor, old records with their favourite bands as centre pieces, the guest book guitar and we can't forget the precious music note paper in Khloe's bouquet. Will + Kendall pulled together an evening that had a casual and comfortable feel, but still incorporated a sense of elegance and charm by way of some very thoughtful details. I as well cannot forget to mention their sense of adventure and spirited ways when this lively couple jumped into a rolling creek to capture stunning images.
It would be next to impossible not to fall for today’s ultra sweet backyard bash, planned and designed by the sweet bride, Brittany, and held in the groom, Tyler's, parent’s backyard. The white on white with touches of gold sequins were the perfect touch of elegance, glam and a bit of reminiscent of a Great Gatsby Party. Take a look at their unforgettable weekend as these two best friends became husband and wife.
Simple, modern and elegant. Those are the words that I would describe this lovely wedding. Eli + Brittany's wedding was perfectly styled without "over styling". It was minimalist and simple, but in a very thought-out kind of way. The refined elements of the wedding made everything clean and beautiful and truly kept the focus on the bride + groom!
The little white church where Dustin + Caitlin exchanged their vows, in front of their close family and friends was the perfect intimate day that they could have ever imagined. Their gorgeous day included an eclectic mix of things they love – vintage antiques and the natural greenery of the outdoors. The Crow's General Store brought a unique look to their day from the antiques to the crystal champagne glasses. This wedding had it all.
Today’s beautiful wedding inspiration was to encompass both the vastness of the outdoors + the intimacy of a backyard wedding. This whimsical gathering took place at the Brandon Research Centre and then for a romantic and whimsically decorated venue we ended up at the Riverview Curling Club. Brimming with beautiful details and a delicate blush + grey color palette, this shoot is sure to inspire.
Joe + Tami are a fun-loving couple who wanted their wedding day to be laid-back + lighthearted. That is what they got with the beautiful hillside with a flowing river in the backdrop of their ceremony. They incorporated some kick ass camouflage vests, being as Joe is an outdoorsman and the bridesmaids followed suit with their earthy gowns. Tami was inspired with this look and beautifully crafted her centre pieces and her wedding decor. Her personal touches made this day look sensational.
Surprise! Cheyenne thought she was just getting photos taken with her honey and her two goofy dogs. She was even the one who called me up and planned the whole thing. She had no idea Travis had a plan of his own. He had called me a couple days later to tell me this was his master plan to capture his proposal and to forever have these moments photographed. I love this so much since this is a day they will never forget.
Stacee and Karen have very laid-back personalities, so when it came to their wedding they wanted it to reflect their personalities in a fun, playful, and a rustic way. They had a very intimate, country ceremony on Stacee's grandparents farm. This location was a key spot to making their day special to them. The rustic, chic decor, beautifully captivated the mood and the rustic romance between these two.
The design aspects of Mitch and Chantel's playful farm wedding were inspired by the rustic surroundings of their families original homestead, as well as their love of all things country! Their homemade arbor, the use of bales for seating, the gunshot shells for centre pieces were all so personal to making their day that much better. It was so them, so very unique, and being one of their friends, I can't see them having it any other way.
I just need to add that the moment Chantel walked down the aisle, and Mitch saw his soon to be wife for the first time in her gorgeous lace dress, THAT reaction is why I love what I do!
Kaley + Chase's chic Souris wedding was filled with tons of gorgeous, classic details and some of the prettiest florals I’ve seen! The Souris and Glenwood Golf Club was the perfect place to bring their family and friends together for a sweet and meaningful celebration. They had a very talented team of vendors who helped them create their dream wedding and everything was perfectly captured. The lush greens on an overcast day was the cherry on top. Their portraits were beyond stunning. I could go back to this day and do it all over again!
I remember this day not only because of how amazing Renee + Keaton's wedding looked but how much it rained. Did I mention their ceremony was outside. It rained so hard the entire day and night. They were so awesome that they just went for it anyways and it all turned out absolutely remarkable. I love a good ol rustic wedding, with endless amounts of lace and babies breath. Renee was an absolute beauty and Keaton of course cleaned up real nice. The two of them celebrated their marriage on the family farm with the most charming surroundings. The farm life means so much to these two that they incorporated canola fields, farm machinery and the coolest granary bar hut ever!
